Write a one-page idea brief
- Desired change: What should be different for the person you help?
- Specific person: Who experiences this problem often enough to care?
- Current alternative: What do they do today, including doing nothing?
- Your smallest version: What can you provide manually within seven days?
- Evidence: What action would show real interest—a call, booking, payment, application, or introduction?
Compare ideas without guessing
If you have several possibilities, score each from one to five on access to customers, urgency of the problem, your ability to deliver, startup cost, time to first evidence, legal complexity, and whether you want to keep doing the work. A lower-risk test usually beats the most exciting untested idea.
Turn learning into the next version
After every conversation or pilot, record what the person wanted, what confused them, what they already tried, what they were willing to do, and what stopped them. Change one major assumption at a time so you know what improved the result.
Bring the unfinished idea.
