# DemandCurrent founding-price benchmark

Status: approved launch pricing, captured August 1, 2026. Prices are USD before tax unless a source does not explicitly label currency.

## Decision

- `Validation Sprint`: **$89 one time** for one project, one primary buyer, one offer review, one evidence-ranked backlog, one seven-day validation plan, and one outcome/stop-loss handoff.
- `Continuous Intelligence`: **$224 per month** for one active brand, a daily evidence recheck, private source-backed reporting, immutable changed-evidence versions, verified-outcome context, audit history, and print/PDF export. Human review is not included without a written addendum.
- Beslyfe membership and the project-scoped Demand Brief remain **$0**.

These are founding-client list prices. The Beslyfe Terms, the Stripe-hosted order, and the accepted project scope control payment, cancellation, refund, support, and fulfillment details. Each plan's first successful payment is eligible for the published 30-day money-back guarantee; repeat purchases and renewals do not restart the window. Beslyfe does not promise revenue or other business results.

## Method

Each launch price uses the named Exploding Topics public list-price anchor multiplied by `0.90`, then rounded down to a whole dollar. Billing cadence and service differences remain visible; Beslyfe does not claim that the products are feature-identical or cheaper than every product in the category.

| Beslyfe offer | Primary published anchor | Anchor price | 90% calculation | Launch price |
|---|---|---:|---:|---:|
| Validation Sprint | Exploding Topics Investor | $99 per month | $89.10 | $89 one time |
| Continuous Intelligence | Exploding Topics Business | $249 per month effective, billed annually | $224.10 | $224 per month |

The Sprint uses the $99 benchmark only as a market-entry reference; it is a one-time managed engagement rather than a software subscription. Continuous Intelligence is billed monthly while the primary competitor anchor is shown as a monthly-effective annual commitment.

## Founding value standard

The requested “50% more” remains an internal product-development target, not a public comparative claim. The current products are not sufficiently equivalent to define a truthful common quantity: Exploding Topics combines a large trend database, on-demand analyses, daily platform updates and alerts, and human-curated weekly reports, while Beslyfe currently rechecks one bounded United States public source for one project and publishes a version only when included evidence changes. Beslyfe will not compare unlike units or invent an overall feature multiplier.

For a future matched-product test, “50% more value” is defined as a **1.50× utility-per-dollar ratio**, not 50% more marketing bullets. At the current $224 Beslyfe price and $249 comparison price, Beslyfe must demonstrate at least `1.50 × 224 ÷ 249 = 1.3494`, or **34.94% higher utility on the same preregistered rubric**, to satisfy that target. The test must use matched real projects and identical inputs, blind scoring where feasible, retained evidence, disclosed exclusions, and an approved sample/reviewer protocol. Until that evidence exists, the claim is blocked from public copy and checkout.

The live-admin Finance view exposes this as two separate operator gates: the nominal price comparison (currently met at 10.04% below the named $249 anchor) and the matched-utility evidence test (not yet evaluated). The API serving the public platform-contract registry intentionally omits the internal target. The admin gate keeps `publicClaimAllowed = false` until a completed evaluation exists; no runtime setting can infer or auto-approve the missing sample size, reviewer-independence criteria, or weighted utility rubric.

The measurable launch commitments are therefore the exact included Beslyfe deliverables, the nominal list-price benchmark, the target-daily eligible recheck (approximately every 24 hours), a 30-day first-payment guarantee, and operator-visible fulfillment health. Beslyfe does **not** claim parity with Exploding Topics' 1.1M+ database, 2,000 tracked-trend limit, 500 trend analyses, forecasting, products, startups, or export inventory. Each active paid scope, scheduled generation job, published version, failure, stale lease, and needs-attention state is tracked for operator review so the included service can be audited instead of assumed delivered.

## Primary competitor evidence

| Vendor | Published plan | Current price | Relevant published scope | Comparability note |
|---|---|---:|---|---|
| [Exploding Topics](https://explodingtopics.com/pricing) | Entrepreneur / Investor / Business | $39 / $99 / $249 per month effective, billed annually | Trend database, tracking, analyses, products and channel breakdown; higher tiers add forecasting, export, startups and reports | Strong direct trend-discovery anchor; no published offer/lead/outcome-learning loop |
| [Glimpse](https://meetglimpse.com/) | Expert | $99 per month or $990 per year | Search volume, related searches, tracking, exports, forecasts, full trend database and alerts | Strong direct search-demand anchor; public packaging has legacy inconsistencies |
| [Treendly](https://treendly.com/pricing) | Pro | $29 monthly or $99 yearly | Unlimited search, 25 monitored trends, curated library and four seats | Direct but materially lighter; not used as the like-for-like managed-service anchor |
| [AnswerThePublic](https://answerthepublic.com/pricing) | Growth / Business | $99 / $199 monthly | Search listening, exports, prompt suggestions and content-production credits | Useful adjacent trend-to-content benchmark; lacks Beslyfe's offer and outcome loop |
| [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/plans) | Pro | $199 per user per month effective, billed annually | Trend reports, premium insights, trackable topics, ideation and learning content | Qualitative innovation/strategy anchor rather than search-demand scoring |
| [Semrush Traffic & Market](https://www.semrush.com/pricing/traffic-and-market/) | Pro | $289 per month effective, billed annually | Market, traffic, competitor and regional intelligence | Broader upper anchor; not used for launch-price arithmetic |

## Scope and evidence limits

- DemandCurrent currently uses the fixed United States Google Trends RSS feed. It does not claim exact global monthly number-one queries or exact search volume.
- Competitor prices and packaging can change. The public Beslyfe claim is limited to the listed capture date and named anchors.
- Vendor pages conflict on some API, seat, and legacy-plan details. Only the live pricing-table features needed for this comparison are used.
- Beslyfe now includes Stripe-hosted checkout, signed-webhook ingestion, durable billing reconciliation, server-authoritative entitlements, customer-portal access, and a first-payment guarantee workflow. Checkout remains fail-closed until the production webhook, server-held credentials, exact catalog IDs, branding, phone verification, portal configuration, and tax treatment are verified for the Beslyfe merchant account.
